The Zeitenspiegel “Reportageschule” Günter Dahl is a one-year vocational training program that prepares newspaper reporters to work as free-lance writers. The full-time program is taught by Zeitenspiegel employees and various well-known and well-connected reporters and editors. The school is graciously sponsored and hosted by the community college “vhs Reutlingen” and occupies a freshly renovated 17th-century farmhouse across the street from vhs headquarters downtown. The “Reportageschule” has been called “Germany’s first journalism boarding school.”
